Halic University Takes Its First Step In Global Competition By Entering The List Of Times Higher Edu
On April 22, 2020, Times Higher Education (THE), which is a higher education rating agency centered in England, announced the Impact Ranking 2020 assessing universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in terms of their works to reach these designated goals.
Halic University ranked between 400 – 600 leaving many universities its behind, by virtue of its performance in the fields titled ‘Quality of Education’ and ‘Good Health and Well Being’, which has brought a new notable success to the university.
The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals - i.e. Global Goals - comprise a call for action to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and enable all the people to live in peace and prosperity. Compiling a list in line with these goals for the first time, THE aims to encourage universities to contribute a better life all around the world.
Taking its place between 400 – 600 among the most prosperous 766 universities of the world pursuant to these goals, Halic University ranked 27th among 37 universities in Turkey.
The rankings include 766 universities from 85 countries across the world. Japan, Russia and Turkey make the highest contributions respectively with 63, 47 and 37 universities.
